Getting a Great Photograph

 

Each face painting is a work of art.. the only downside is that the artwork is only temporary. At the end of the day the colours will be fading and it will come time to wash it all away.
This is why it is equally as important to be able to take a great photograph of your designs to make them last forever. The photograph become a piece of artwork in itself.

When I post something on Facebook, I usually like to make sure it is a piece of work I am happy with. I will spend extra time, than what I would usually at events, making sure it is just right.. sometimes I will even go back and touch it up after taking the photos, and re shoot the design until I get that perfect image.


Now not all my work turns out the way I intend it too.. sometimes designs I have sketched on paper just don't translate well on the face.. sometimes my model...

Inspiration

Before I can create any piece of art I need to be inspired. As an artist, finding that inspiration can be one of the biggest challenges. Sometimes we can be overflowing with ideas, other times we can feel like we have nothing. 
We can have all the skills in the world, we can have all the right equipment, but without inspiration we will struggle to create something we are happy with.

Neon Parties!

As the weather cools down and the days get shorter, finding ideas to keep kids busy at Birthday Parties often becomes a little more challenging (I know this well, having two children with Birthdays in the middle of winter!)
